多年前一次酒窖巡視的過程中產生了一個想法：
推出一款最能代表葛拉漢酒廠釀造陳年波特酒功力的作品，
讓人們了解葛拉漢年份波特酒在過去的兩個世紀，
尤其是近五十年中，之所以在全球享有極高的聲譽的原因。
從無數陳年波特酒中第一個選擇的年份是1961年，
是相當特別的年份，
在當時的首席釀酒師Peter Symington先生極為仔細監督之下釀造，
他決定將一小部分的酒裝瓶，讓大家有機會品嘗這珍貴的佳釀；
1961單一木桶年份波特酒裝瓶上市是個非常成功的決定，
人們為之驚艷，因數量稀少很快就銷售一空。
接著再從許許多多1960年代的陳年波特酒中選出了1969年份的波特酒，
因為它有著和1961年份波特酒一樣的高水準與品質。
因此包括總裁Paul, Johnny, Rupert 和Dominic 等家族成員，
以及我自己，都同意將1969 陳年波特酒裝瓶成特別版，
使用品質最令人激賞的6 桶酒，每桶可裝712瓶；
我們相信這些波特酒已經到達了非常好的成熟度，
能夠品嘗到這些酒的幸運兒一定會享有無窮的歡愉，
體驗當初我們品嘗這些1969 陳年波特酒時
所感受到的優質與獨特。
每一桶都有值得被挑選的絕佳潛力，但其中的6桶更是出類拔萃。
誘人豐潤的金黃琥珀色澤，酒體中心散發些許紅寶石光芒，
精緻的香氣迷惑人心，有著忍冬、香草和隱隱約約的焦糖氣息。
口感集中，柔順如絲，感覺得到異國風情的香料和奶油糖果的風味。
豐潤的口感和堅實清爽的酸度形成完美平衡，
展現酒體的結構與均衡度，譜出綿延不斷的美妙餘韻。
