2011年是炎熱且早收獲的的一年。
4月異常炎熱，氣溫比往年該季節性平均高 4°C，
讓生長和熟成週期非常快速，
到5月初，葡萄藤的成長階段比過往10年平均水平提前了近 15 天！
此外，2011年沒有遭受任何影響葡萄藤健康的蟲害，
是葡萄藤健康且穩定的一年。
採收工作始於超過33°C 炎熱氣溫的8月22日，
炙熱的天氣延續到了隔日，使得葡萄的熟成中斷，
當時的每週產量夏多娜逼近2%成長，
而黑色葡萄品種則達到了1.5%的成長，
非常幸運的，再此時下了一場及時雨，
接下來的兩天大量的雨水使葡萄充滿了新鮮感，
也代表葡萄的熟成在8月29日的該週恢復其週期。
爾後的9月2日和9月3日氣溫再次飆升至34°C，
並在9月7日完成收成，
也是香檳區的葡萄農記憶以來最早完成採收的一年。
2011年絕對是一個異常出色的年份，
大自然的驚喜可能讓許多人因為無法適應而錯過了如此精彩的年份，
